Finally! Anawangin!

Ok! I did not spend much. :) Yahoo!

Went to Anawangin this weekend... and everything is worth the effort.

So, all in all we're 8 (MU, anne, abby, dianne, lota, lenny, tel-tel and me). We took the 630am Victory Bus in Cubao bound for Iba, Zambales. We arrived in San Antonio, Zambales at 11ish. We bought additional fruits, kerosene and uling from the public market, then, we headed to Pundaquit to "scout" for bangka's... coincidentally we were able to have a motocycle ride with a Boholano driver who took us to a bangkero (from San Antonio)... and that bangkero of course has a Boholano bloodline.

The Boholano connection worked well since Ate Lota is pure Boholano, we got an island hoping deal worth 2,400... the package included island hoping to the following: Capones, Camara, and (of course) Anawangin.

So our first stop was Capones. The hiking part was challenging, but once you reached the top, you would just shrug off the "pagod". :) Bad enough though that I did not notice any sign of historical information about the lighthouse...the lighthouse gave me this old-spanish-colonial-building-feel... :)

After Capones, Anawangin was our last destination. We looked for a "people-free" place. Hehehe! Nahh, just kidding... We found a place where we could install our tents... and that place is just infront of the beach. And we were the only people who set our tents there. Most of them chose to be near the poso. Hehe! We were adopted by the caretakers -- meaning, we paid for our space, the use of facilities (poso and CR), and they made sure that we're safe since we're all girls - the manang even slept near us just to make sure we're safe.

While in Anawangin, the rest decided to take a hike to the hill nearby and I chose to stay behind to guard our stuff. Of course we swam. I just love the way the waves would play with us (or the other way around)... I did not notice any sea urchin there (hehehe), but I never failed to take my aqua shoes off while I enjoyed the water. :)

The next day, we went to the lake to just have some photoshoot. Of course we saw the "pine" trees... nahhh they're Agoho trees... pine trees do not thrive in places near the beach or lowland areas. :)

Then the manong bangkeros came earlier than we expected. Well, they were not fetching us actually, they were fetching another group but the group asked for an allowance, so they went to us. They actually wanted to check on where we were. It was past 8, when we decided that we're ready for Camara. :)

Off we went to Camara Island. Well, the island is like a magnified japanese garden because of the rocks. :) The sea weeds were ticklish and I hate them... every time they touched me it felt like some creepy crawling reptiles touching me (no offense meant...)! I had a chance to "rock" climb a portion of the island! Yihee... the part was a bit wet and rocky but hey it was a "high"... :)

The manong bangkeros picked us up at around 12. Our last stop was Pundaquit where we went to take a dip in the Pundaquit falls. Yehey! Robin, our tour guide, was such a smart kid... he took our photos while we were "cooling" ourselves.

And that was game over after Pundaquit. I mean, back to the noisy and polluted civilization.
