ok.it was my first time to attend the national selection committee... and two of my nominees were finalists - bonsol and olea.
few of the judges i heart are: sandy prieto-romualdez, tessa prieto-valdez, tessie sy-coson, fernando zobel de ayala, and felipe gozun... why i heart them? because they are pretty quite intelligent and behind the serious stance of the 5 are outrageously funny beings...FZA, tessa and sandy wanted bonsol to win. while tessie sy has reservations because she has other bet. gozun on the other hand wanted to have the powerful hand in the decision-making since a possible tie may happen. hihihi!
scenario A:
darwin yu: oh, please don't call me professor, since i am not calling you bankers...
(laughter)
mr. gozun: oh, i am charles...
(some laughter)
--- catch: if he is darwin, then gozun is charles - the evolution theory huh?!
scene B:
tessa p.: is that his house (pointing at the fishpens of a nominee)
FZA: no, it's a fishpen
the sisters, they look opposite from the outside but they are bungisngis... only in a different level... so how did they touch my life today?
anyways, they like bonsol and were vying for her to win. FZA has also decided to go for bonsol... the sister lobbied for bonsol over someone who's an ifugao... tessie sy was vying for the ifugao girl... and the sisters, were like insisting while the rest of the male dominated judges found them with certain awe...
the way the sisters would resolve who they wanted and insist on that someone was so comical... so, since there was a stiff competition between bonsol and the ifugao girl, the evaluators were asked to defend our nominees - and i think i did pretty well...
the funny thing was - the sisters told me to defend bonsol... they were like cheerios of bonsol... so i think my task was to defend bonsol in an objective manner... i did well.
i just failed to have a photo with them since they left before lunch time.
